Creating a successful oil painting is often regarded as the pinnacle of artistic achievements. However, this also implies that oil painting is difficult, and this idea often prevents artists from experimenting with oils. In this class, I will demonstrate the ease and flexibility of painting in oils. We will use Windsor & Newton Water Miscible Oil Paints and Gamblin Solvent Free Oil Medium for a safer workspace, and we will paint on traditional stretched canvas.
Our subject will be a flower arrangement set in a vase. With this I will demonstrate lighting and composition.
